Dembele deal announced when Fulham have a replacement

Tottenham have secured the signing of 19-year-old (20 in July) French Under-20 international Moussa Dembele after fighting off opposition from abroad, although there wasn't much chance of him moving abroad.

Fulham have been trying to insist that he returns to them on loan but then there would be no point in signing him if we were going to allow that as his contract finishes in June and we could then sign him as a free agent.

The deal will be announced in due course when Fulham have organised a replacement, which isn't easy as they have a transfer embargo in place. Fulham were another club who struggled despite parachute payments. They made a loss in excess of the Football League limit of £6-million in the season after their relegation. That limit has now increased to £13-million but too late for Fulham.

Whether we are going to loan them a player or players for free so there are no loan fees or transfer fees I don't yet know, but it is the subject of much speculation. Once they have a replacement the deal will be completed.

  1. Yes I really like this blog and follow it closely but you said the same thing about Saido in the summer. So no mentions of a source of any kind do not give me any sort of confidence.

  2. I trust this is simply relaying Trix's ITK on Spurs Community?

  3. I gave my opinions on Berahino since the summer which have largely proved to be spot on. He wants Spurs, we know that, but we will not entertain their price so looked elsewhere. If they would budge he would have been signed, they won't, at last not for us. Instead Peace has a player who doesn't want to be there, is upsetting everyone, who you can't say is in top form and probably won't be the time he is there and who is reducing in value, regardless of the price they put on him. He is only worth what people will pay. Next summer he is a free transfer, in a few moths he'll be worth half what he was last summer. He would be here if WBA would budge, Peace won't.

    1. Can you answer the other part of my question and not just the berahino part please Clive? Any info on the source? Reliable not reliable? I don't understand how you can be so sure about this. You write the article as if it's 100% yet no1 else is reporting it.

  8. I just hope this is true. The fact we missed out on Austin and are linked with everybody and no one could make me believe this 'top secret" deal is possible. He does fit the bill, young, talented, hard working and his contract is running out so he's cheap. That's got levy written all over it

  10. I hate being told something so surely that isn't 100%. I hope and wish your righty but I'm sorry I don't believe it, especially after what the Fulham manager said today. I bet this page will be deleted soon because Clive knows it's not 100%
