Wimmer and Pato

They have to sell to keep balancing the books and in the summer put a wage cap in place. They are possibly going to lose Nicolas Nkoulou and have Chelsea's Papy Djilobodji on their radar. If they can't bring him in then they will look to turn to 23-year-old (24 next November) Austrian centre-half Kevin Wimmer.
He is the backup for Vertonghen so he is going to be needed at some stage. If he was loaned pout then a new centre-half would need to be signed. Fazio is the more likely of the two to leave with Sevilla very keen on taking him back to Spain on the cheap.
Over in Brazil Corinthians don't want to sell Pato on the cheap even though they don't want to keep him. Reports suggest a bid of £7.36-million (US$10.98m - AUS$15.07m - €10m) wouldn't be enough, but that was the only figure being mentioned during the summer so it is likely that no European club is willing to pay much more. South American contracts run from January to December so in a few days he enters the last year of his contract so his market value is therefore limited. Pato prefers a move to Europe although Corinthians are happy with the offer from China.
