The wind was the winner today

The expected line-up took on WBA with only Heung-min Son and Eric Lamela a debatable change. The subs bench again contained a couple of youngsters in 19-year-old (20 next February) Harry Winks and 18-year-old (19 next April) Josh Onomah.

TOTTENHAM: Hugo Lloris (c) (28), Kyle Walker (25), Toby Alderweireld (26), Jan Vertobghen (28), Danny Rose (25), Eric Dier (21), Dele Alli (19), Erik Lamela (23), Mousa Dembele (28), Christian Eriksen (23) and Harry Kane (22).

SUBS: Michel Vorm (32), Kieran Trippier (25), Kevin Wimmer (23), Harry Winks (19), Josh Onomah (18), Clinton Njie (22) and Heung-min Son (23).

The wind was the winner today with bookmakers having a field day. Few people took into account the high winds which stopped balls in flight and made it a nightmare for defenders trying to judge headers. Wind is a leveller and days like this can turn into a fight.

All credit to us for battling away to get a draw after we had allowed them far too easily to get to our byline and cross the ball. WBA came from behind to beat Arsenal last time and while they came close to snatching a winner we were denied a clear-cut chance when Njie was wrongly flagged for offside when through on goal. It is small moments like that that can make a big difference to a result. There would have been little time for a WBA reply.

Our game seemed to be based on threading the eye of a needle when we got anywhere near their penalty box. Our crosses were poor when we had an overlap, although we didn't really get behind their defence when we did go wide.

The unbeaten run goes on.
