Sandro buyback clause holding deal up

Sandro buyback clause holding deal up

According to Sport, a Spanish daily newspaper based in Barcelona who focus primarily on Barcelona, Spurs are very interested in purchasing 20-year-old (21 next July) Sandro Ramirez. We have been is discussions with the UEFA Champions League holders aboiut bringing the youngster to White Hart Lane but talks have hit a problem.

Just like Real madrid, Brcelona like to sell their young players with a 2-year buyback clause, something we wont entertain. Talks have thus reached an impasse at th moment. Buying a player and developing him, only to lose him to a set fee isn't in the long term interestes of the purchasing club, thye are simply developing a player for someone else and may have tio start again in a year or two if they are successful.

There is no long-term future in that and not a great deal of profit either. The selling club are getting all the benefits without even having to give the player a game or pay his wages. It is a no lose situation for them.

Sandro has limited opportunities because iof the talent in front of him and generally doesn't get to play in his favourd central role. Spanish footballers are brought up to be able to play in all positions, they have to play games in different positions as part of their youth football, a centreback for instance will play as a centre-forward to understand the different mentality. Sandro can play anywhere across the front three or in our case the front four.

Wide man Arda Turan is now available and Barcelona are looking to sign 21-year-old (22 next January) attacking midfielder Denis Suárez Fernández from Roberto Soldado's new club Villarreal. Barcelona sold him to Villarreal in the summer but have a buyback clause they can activate in the summer. They also have a buyback clause for the following year and a first refusal option after that. His signing which is being muted would put further pressure on Sandro.

We have been in discussions with Barcelona since October having had a summer enquiry knocked back. He would provide the versatility Pochettino likes in his players to minimise the impact of injuries. In his last game for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey against a second division side he scored a har-trick as a centre-forward, usually he gets on playing on the right or left.
