Construction deadline extension doesn't delay the new stadium

Tottenham requested an extended deadline to December 2018 for completion of work before the Haringey Council planning meeting which they weren't too pleased about.

From researching what others are saying about this it seems it will not impact upon the stadium but is in relation to the housing. The council shares in the increased house sales value which the club want to limit to a set date and thus a set figure.

I didn't spend 6 or 7 hours watching the meeting myself although I may dip in and out of the replay. You can find it at this link: Haringey Council Webcast

The Mayor of London has 2 weeks I believe to formally sign off the planning consent and he is due to look at the matter early next week. He will have to follow procedure but given that he wants the NFL at Tottenham he is hardly likely to stand in the way of the development, even though he would rather have the three listed buildings retained.

The associated benefits of the NFL in London are just far too great to not allow the scheme to go ahead without delays.
