Agent says client will join Juventus

Another day another striker, this time it's Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi. We were of course interested in his former teammate, Simone Zaza who moved to Juventus, indeed we still are.

Sky reporter Gianluca di Marzio brings the story and as ever Juventus are involved. In Italy players can be part bought, so you will often find a club like Juventus buys 50% of a player and another club retain 50%, he might actually be playing for a third club at the time!

Di Marzio reports 'concrete' interest from Tottenham and there is also interest from our shadow, Liverpool plus German giants Bayern Munich. Juventus have previously signed Berardi on a co-ownership basis before he returned to Sassuolo, but Juventus retained a buy-back option in the deal. Reports in Italy say Juventus want to buy him in the summer for £14.79-million (US$21.95m - AUS$30.11m - €20m).

A skilful player, he can play central or out wide but his agent, Simone Seghedoni, has strongly hinted he is joining Juventus in the summer.

"Juventus have a verbal agreement with Sassuolo for June.
"That’s still a long way away though, and we’re not thinking about it at the moment. Domenico will not go to Juventus in January, I can categorically rule out leaving in the next transfer window.
"He will not move until June, in line with a program devised along with the club. Domenico is only thinking about continuing his growth with Sassuolo and Coach [Eusebio] Di Francesco."
Despite interest there look to be no legs in this one.
