Watford loan more likely than Spurs purchase

Tottenham have been continually linked with 24-year-old (25 next June) Juventus striker Simone Zaza, such a move has always looked highly unlikely, though. He only joined Juventus in the summer and they tend to loan out players they feel need developing. In memory serves me correctly, last season they were involved in over 60 loan deals.

Zaza wants to play for Juventus, he is Italian and they are the biggest club in Italy at the moment with four successive titles. We enquired about signing him from Sassuolo, but he already had an agreement in place with Juventus. Clubs still watch him and want to take him, Arsenal, in particular, are interested. West Ham also get mentioned with every player in the press now.

The best option for Juventus though may be a loan if they don't want to keep him as the back-up striker and Norwich City could give him some game time until the end of the season. For me, it is a move that has more chance of success than either Spurs or Arsenal trying to sign him permanently. Thus far he has scored 2 goals in just 307 minutes of football, the equivalent of 3 games and 37 minutes.
