Top Defensive Midfielder Rankings

The CIES Football Observatory, which is based in Switzerland, take OPTA stats and uses their own algorithm to give each Premier League player a rating. They do the same for the other four major leagues across Europe, Italy, Germany, Spain and France. Each player topping the ratings receives a 100 score.

Two of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League according to the statistics from Switzerland were no match for the Spurs attacking midfielders on Sunday.
