Bentaleb gets 45 minutes playing time

Nabil Bentaleb came on for Algeria at half-time when they were 1-0 down away to Tanzania, a game they went on to draw 2-1 with Bentaleb being booked in the 82ns minute.

Nabil unfortunately made the pass that gifted Wayne Rooney a chance on the opening day of the season which Kyle Walker tried to rectify and unluckily saw the ball trickle into our net. A substitution and an injury and we have not seen him since the Everton game in August.

Eric Dier has been impressive, Ryan Mason impressed before his injury, Dele Alli is impressing everyone and Mousa Dembele has grasped he has to improve if he is to play central midfield, competition is fierce. For some players internationals come at the right time and that may well be the case for Bentaleb.

Far from being a burden, the international break can give players some game time they perhaps wouldn't get at Tottenham at the moment.

Leicester City winger Marhez Ryad played a full game on the right and is a player we shuld be looking at closely. He is ranked as one of the best players in the country at the moment and one of the best in his position by various sources. I like him not because of his statistics but because when he gets the ball he wants to commit his marker. He is always looking to run at the box into dangerous areas which lead to goals or fouls around the box.

we have one of the best free-kick exponents in the Premier League so forcing defenders into fouls must be a part of our game. Running at players the way Mahrez does gives that opportunity. Clinton Njie seems to play the position in a similar way. In his last game he was looking to attack the corner of the box from wide to create shooting chances. His shooting was off but the idea was there, just needs a bit of improvement in the execution.
