Lloris and Hazard

Lloris and Hazard

Thorgan Hazard

The Belgian media are suggesting Tottenham have a strong interest in Thorgan Hazard, brother of Chelsea attacking wide man Eden Hazard. The story has done the rounds in Belgium, Germany, Italy and the UK, but we'll have to wait until January to see if Spurs are interested in making a move for the 22-year-old (23 next March).

The right-footed central attacking midfielder can also play on the left of the attacking three and has been brought up through the Belgian system where everyone plays 4-3-3 in the belief it develops all round better players. If the national team is anything to go by you would have to say that the policy has worked. With 4 Belgian already at the club weSpurs certainly have a bargaining chip.

Hugo Lloris

The French press are at it yet again, this time deciding that Hugo Lloris is refusing to discuss a contract at Tottenham. They have written so much about Lloris and virtually all of it has been wrong so far, from fictitious buyout clauses to agreements with Levy to leave.

When it comes to Hugo Lloris and the French press one can no longer believe word that is written given their agenda to see him at another club, a club they deem to be more fitting to his status as French national captain.

I wrote back in February that he wasn't going anywhere this summer and so it proved. This story all stems from an old Lloris quote which says something quite different to the French interpretation.

"I'm not going to talk of my past nor my future, I'm happy to be at Tottenham".
