Konoplyanka to sign for Atlético Madrid
Yevhen Konoplyanka is a complicated transfer, many clubs have tried to secure his signature, but nobody has yet managed to sign him in the two years his name seems to have been in the papers.
Now that he is a free agent, or will be on 1 July, he seems to have been touted around everywhere and talked to everyone. We know to our cost that even a medical mean nothing if a more attractive offer comes along, we experienced that with Willian of course.
The Italians are reporting that the Ukrainian has signed for Spurs, others are reporting he has flown in for a medical including Eurosport Turkey, now the Turkish press are reporting that he has flown to Spain and will sign for Atlético Madrid.
The Spanish press are also covering the story and mention the Ukrainian press also saying he has now flown to Madrid to negotiate with Atlético.
