Have Spurs snapped up MK Dons starlet?

Reports in the press say that Newcastle United have agreed a deal for £5 million for 18-year-old MK Dons midfielder, Dele Alli, but it would appear nothing has been signed, indeed rumours have started Spurs have secured him.

Have Spurs snapped up MK Dons starlet?

Alli is hot property he is wanted by Liverpool and German giants Bayern Munich and since the Newcastle United report there have been stories of Aston Villa trying to muscle in and snap him up. Now whether you are an ITK fan or not you can make your own judgement but there is some that suggest Spurs have signed him and will loan him back until the end of the season, when I say signed I mean he has agreed to join Spurs and the two clubs have reached agreement.

It is believed that he doesn't want to move to far away from home so is going to reject the Newcastle and Aston Villa offers, that would also rule out Liverpool and Bayern Munich. His manager Karl Robinson was asked about the speculation, MKWeb report his response.

"We just don't know because there are so many permutations of that. It's not how we do our business and we have to make sure that we do right by him.
"He's in the midst of all his talk and for him to keep to his level of football with all the hype around him shows you how much of a unique individual he is and he deserves all the success that we know he's going to get."

Clearly the reports of him signing for Newcastle are premature and clearly Alli is in demand. Hardly surprising when you look at the England Under 19 internationals record and take into account his strength and physique. The youngster can play as a holding midfielder or an attacking midfielder, having notched has 12 goals in 26 League One games.

Alli has played 2,298 minutes already so scores a goal every 192 minutes, he also has 3 assists so is involved in a goal action every 153.2 minutes. He has also played 4 League Cup ties, including the famous victory over Manchester United and an FA Cup tie. In total he has played 2,725 minutes in all competitions with 12 goals and 5 assists.

If it's true he's one to keep an eye on for the future.
