Is Chris Waddle right?

Is Chris Waddle right, can Tottenham really finish in the top four this season? It looks to be an outside bet you'd have to say.

Is Chris Waddle right?

Our form is not great. people say we played well at Manchester City and we did but, we lost, could have lost by more than we did and Manchester City played a very open game on a big pitch which other teams don't do on smaller pitches.

How we performed against Man City is unlikely to be replicated against other sides, especially when they come and put men behind the ball at White Hart Lane. Playing Man City is a one off.

Waddle believes Tottenham are not out of the hunt yet.

“There's no reason they can't challenge. Chelsea or Manchester City will win [the title], after that you've got Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, probably Everton.
“They'll be challenging for that fourth spot so I wouldn't write off Tottenham. The new manager is still trying to look for the right balance, so you'd think Tottenham can only get better really."

I doubt it was his intention to miss Liverpool, just didn't cross his mind as he was speaking, it would be doubtful he had dismissed them. You have to agree it's Chelsea r Manchester City, they are clear of everyone else with Chelsea easily my favourites if Costa stays fit. I thought he'd smash in the goals for Chelsea and he is certainly doing that.

If you suggest Spurs are looking for the right balance, and we are not changing the front four around much to find it, then it's a question of how long it takes. Will too much of the season be over if and why that balance is found?
