Bentaleb out of Europa League tie
Nabil Bentaleb who generally now plays with the rest of the second team in these UEFA Europa League and domestic cup ties will miss the game on Thursday with an ankle injury.
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino revealed to the assembled press that Bentaleb would miss the tie against Greek side Asteras Tripolis while giving his pre-game press conference today.
Hugo Lloris has been in outstanding form this season, rescuing Spurs on a number of occasions. Unfortunately our defence hasn't been in such great form and has given him too much to do. He has had to rescue us on a number of occasions so it is quite probable that he will stay in goal ahead of Michel Vorm tomorrow.
Vorm must be straining at the bit but fortunately there is the next round of the League Cup coming up next week and the summer signing will no doubt figure in that game, as he did in the previous round against Nottingham Forest.

"Nabil is injured and we hope he recovers as soon as possible. After that there is Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton and it is the same situation as before."
