Former Spurs coach Chris Ramsey with England U17's

Former Tottenham coach Chris Ramsey has worked with the FA before and is at the moment with them again fr the Under 17 tournament that started on Wednesday and continues for England tonight.

Ramsey was assistant manager to Peter Taylor for the U20 World Cup in 2013. He has previously worked with the FA when he managed the Under 20's at the FIFA World Youth Championship in Nigeria in 1999. He was a scout for Kevin Keegan and worked with the England U 16 side also.

Now Head Coach John Peacock has called on his experience for the FA International Tournament which finished on Sunday and involves four teams from England, Portugal, Italy and the Czech Republic. He spoke about the appointment which the FA have reproduced on their website.

“It’s good to have Chris back on board. He’s a very experienced coach and obviously worked for The FA many years ago. 
“He was assistant coach at the U20s World Cup in Turkey last year and it was good to call on Chris to assist me for this tournament.
"This will be the first season in a competitive UEFA tournament for the players and getting used to playing a four-group schedule like this is important in preparing us for the tests ahead." 

England began the tournament on Wednesday with a 0-0 draw against the Czech Republic.
