Michu did not go on Swansea's pre-season tour, he is said to have had a medical at Napoli according to the Italian press. Swansea of course bought Michu from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano for £2 million (€2.53m) and he has hit 20 goals in 52 Premier League appearances. In total he has 28 goals in 67 games for the Welsh club.

According to several Italian sources, including Sport Mediaset, a deal has already been struck with Swansea City to take him on loan with an option to purchase for £11.87 million (€15m). Wales Online suggest Swansea have received no bid for him.

Netherlands winger Arjen Robben, 30, says he is tired of people criticising him after he admitted diving during the last-16 win against Mexico. Well perhaps he should consider not cheating then.

Arsenal have agreed a £34 million (€42.95m) fee for Alexis Sánchez but Barcelona are waiting to see if Italian club Juventus can match the offer. Liverpool are also interested in the forward but he is not keen on joining Liverpool.

Manchester United have been told to increase their offer for 24 year-old Holland and Feyenoord right-back Daryl Janmaat. Tottenham have been linked with the player but there are more pressing matters to attend to i the defence than right-back, which is in the safe hands of Kyle Walker.

Southampton are set to make an £8m offer for Cardiff City's 29-year-old goalkeeper David Marshall. Ole Gunner Solskjaer does not want to lose him and the Championship side have placed an inflated £15 million (€18.95m) price tag on his head. Hugo Lloris was less than that!

Manchester City's high asking price for 28 year-old striker Alvaro Negredo has prompted Atletico Madrid to look elsewhere. The Spanish club have made a £14m (€17.69m) offer for 28 year-old Croatian Bayern Munich forward Mario Mandžukić according to Marca.

Monaco have slapped a £63 million (€79.58m) price tag on 22 year-old James Rodríguez, the current top scorer at the World Cup in Brazil even though Colombia are now out of the tournament.

German paper Bild suggest AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi feels he won't get the right price for Mario Balotelli following the 23 year-old Italian striker's lacklustre performance at the World Cup. Arsenal are said to have dropped their interest in the player as a result.
