Spurs rival Man U for Lazio left-back

If transfer speculation is anything to go by then Tottenham have targetted left-back as one of the key area Daniel Levy talked about that we would spend in this summer.

Spurs rival Man U for Lazio left-back

We seem to view Zeki Fryers as more of a centre-back but whether that is still the case or whether that was simply Tim Sherwood's view I don't know. Either way he is not ready for first choice left-back and without protection in front of him Danny Rose isn't good enough either.

We are looking at Saed Kolasinac from Schalke but also at Stefan Radu, another player Manchester United are looking at as well. Radu plays for Lazio in Serie A and would offer Spurs a different option. At 27 he has experience and could teach Danny Rose about the positional side of the game and defending as a whole.

The Romanian international has been at Lazio for 5 years, stands 6 foot tall with wages within our budget. In 2012 he was on £25,000 a week (£1.3 million a year) and he has versatility, he can play centre-back, another problem position.

The Italian press report that both clubs want to secure his signature. he is strong in possession, intercepts well and has a pass success rate of 83.9%. His strength is defeding, his weakness like Kolasinac is crossing in the final third.
