Hulk to Spurs
Yes it's nearly transfer window time when we can once again be linked with all your old favourites. We have had Martinez at Porto now it's time for Hulk.
Predictably Tottenham have been linked with a move for Hulk, a player we can offer very little to. The manager who made him has gone and is in fact now at his current club. We don't have Champions League football and can't afford his wages but apart from that the deal looks nailed on.
The story suggests a bidding was with Arsenal which is hardly something to set the pulses racing as neither club likes to pay anything for a player.
After receiving a death threat, his teammates complaining about his wages and desperately trying to quit Russia, he has since notched 15 goals in 22 Premier Liga games this season for Zenit St Petersburg with 8 assists. He has also notched 4 goals in 8 Champions League games and 2 assists plus 1 goal in 2 Champions League qualifying games with 3 assists.
That makes 20 goals in 32 games with 13 assists. He has also played 6 friendlies for Brazil scoring twice and having two assists.
Back in March the Russian club agreed to sell him this summer and naturally he has been linked with a whole host of clubs since, Chelsea and Man City being just two more. It's the usual guesswork journalism game nothing more.
