Holtby Delph swap with Villa
Aston Villa have been linked with Lewis Holtby for a while now and the stories from fellow German Felix Magath, his boss at Fulham, about his lack of fight could see him leave Tottenham.
He has always shown effort and fight for Spurs so it was strange comments to hear from his loan spell with the London side. A lack of fight is exactly what was witnessed at White Hart Lane so Tottenham might look to cash in on a player that looks the part but doesn't produce the goods.
Fabian Delph has just started to show his potential. He is now 24 having joined Aston Villa in 2009 for £6 million from Leeds United. Stories of a potential swap deal have emerged between the two clubs.
Villa won't want to lose their Player of the Year and will no doubt want to get Holtby on the cheap but Daniel Levy is not one to let players go cheaply.
Delph likes to shoot fro distance, he scored 3 goals from 36 shots last season, is a good dribbler and is strong in the tackle. He is good at intercepting passes as well suggesting he reads the game well and or has good positional sense.

He plays centre midfield or on the left of midfield and it's down the left where we need strengthening defensively. Lewis Holtby has never really been played on the left for Spurs and remains a player with unfulfilled potential. There is a better player inside him than we have seen which Daniel Levy will want to develop before he moves him on.
