Spurs Win Again!
Final Score: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Liverpool
Our team continued it's great form by beating Liverpool in an epic encounter today. Harry's boys showed a never-say-die attitude and came back from a goal down to see off Liverpool, granting the scousers their first loss of the season.
Liverpool took the lead early on from a bullet angled shot from Kuyt. Even though Liverpool continued to attack, lady luck was firmly behind us.
On 69 minutes, Jamie Carragher headed the ball into his own net from David Bentley's corner. The Lane felt the anticipation and urged our stars to go on for the win, which we did thanks to Roman Pavlyuchenko, who slotted the ball into the back of the net thanks to Bent's pass.
People go on about this being Harry Redknapp's honeymoon period. I don't see it like that. As Levy stated, we've got a great squad. The secret ingredient has been confidence. Harry has instilled an air of confidence amongst the players, and that has boosted their performances. And Harry won't stop encouraging and lifting the players either.
This team can take us places. Okay, I believe that a decent left winger would suffice, and the purchase of a holding midfielder wouldn't go amiss, but other than that, we seem set.
Sounding like a typical Spurs fan, I even believe that we can push up into a top 7th or 8th finish this season.
Spurs (4-4-1-1): Gomes; Corluka, Woodgate, King, Assou-Ekotto (Hutton, 46); Bentley, Zokora, Huddlestone, O'Hara (Pavlyuchenko, 46); Modric (Lennon, 76); Bent
