For THBN
With the arrival of Younes Kaboul, the clubs spending is nearing £25 million (£6 million initial payment for Bale, £13 million initial payment for Bent, & a reported £6 million initial payment for Kaboul equalling approximately £25 million).
Apparently, more signings are in store too!
Has the transfer market exploded to the point where a squad player costs £8 million? After all, I can't see Kaboul taking the place of either King nor Dawson. It's great that the club have signed a much needed centre back for cover, but £8 million on a bench warmer seems too much, doesn't it?
We again come back to the left midfielder/winger position.
It seems that the club have spent the majority of their budget already. Does this mean that once again, the club will not fill the left-sided midfield position?
Some sites have even mentioned that Martin Jol doesn't see the need for a left midfielder/winger. The argument being that no other club plays with two front men and two wingers. Fair enough, that may be the case. But at least they do play with a left footed midfielder, who's instinct isn't to keep drifting in all the time.
Do you feel that the club needs to prioritise on their spending? Do you think we need cover on the left, be it a left footed midfielder or a winger with an abundance of flair?

£8 Million for a squad player?
THBN - Behind the Scenes
The THBN team, made up of Sam Jenkins, Jaymes Marsh, Costas Georgiou (PoshSpur), & Jesse Johnstone, have decided to write an article explaining what THBN is actually about.
We have allowed unregistered Blogger users to write comments in the commenting section. We have read all the comments made and thought that we would answer some of the questions put to us.
THBN has implied that it (we/source) personally has discovered news surrounding Tottenham Hotspur.
THBN is regularly handed news relating to the "goings on" at the club. These snippets of information are handed to us by sources close to the club. We do not, at present, have journalists on hand to report news to us.
As this is the case, we cannot always trust what we are told, but chose to write an article so as to start a debate.
For instance, we were told about Auxerre wanting more money for Kaboul before any tabloids mentioned it. We also said that we thought he would sign within 2 weeks; he signed in 3. We took a gamble on what was told to us and published an article.
Our aim is to bring the worldwide Tottenham Hotspur community closer. We try to do this by allowing all users to comment. THBN are currently working on creating the first official supporters club in Cyprus. Tottenham Hotspur PLC have helped us immensely in forming the supporters club, and for this, we thank them.
For those of you that regularly visit THBN, we wish to thank you for your continued support.
We are in the final stages of designing the THBN site (www.THBN.co.uk). We will, of course have links to the new Cyprus Spurs Supporters Club site and any other devoted Tottenham Hotspur sites.
As always, THBN will continue to provide interesting topics in which Spurs fans can debate upon.
Thanking you again,
THBN Team
