Jol in Cyprus

By Costas Georgiou

Spurs manager, Martin Jol, flew into Larnaca International airport, Cyprus, this afternoon to watch Tottenham's next UEFA Cup opponents, Anorthosis, in their game tonight against Paralimni.

Officials of the CSSC (Cyprus Spurs Supporters Club) will be represented at the game with the intention of meeting the Spurs manager.

THBN will announce more news shortly.

For further information on watching the 2nd leg tie in Cyprus, please contact the CSSC via email. Their address is;

Cheers for that. THBN, can you tell me if the CSSC will be providing flights, hotel accomodation and game tickets for the match on October 4th?

I've just come back from Cyprus (flew back on Saturday) and the place is lovely. So bloody hot!

There are loads of Spurs fans. In fact, I've never seen so many in various pubs before in me life.

Great support over there!

I won't be able to make it unfortunately.

The CSSC will be providing a complete package deal that will offer Spurs members only the opportunity to book flights, hotel accomodation and match tickets through the official Cyprus Spurs Supporters Club.

Arrangements are currently being made now so no information on ticket pricing has been confirmed.

THBN will be given all the details as soon as the CSSC has confirmation.

Regards

Marcus

A bit optimistic Jol thinking he will be in charge for these matches. The sooner he f**** off and takes Defoe with him the better.

Now that the Cypriots have Martin Jol maybe they would keep him. Patrick

I think it would be great timing for THBN to run a poll asking the fans if they still want Martin to remain as our boss.

Come on THBN, do it!

It's too early for that. We believe Martin Jol will be the Tottenham Hotspur manager until the end of October at least.

Based on my gut feeling. No source has told me or THBN that he'll be around till then, but if results keep going against the side, I really can't see him sticking around much longer unfortunately.

Haha, I don't think Jol will be taking Defoe with him, do you?!!

Just like Defoe will never sign for Citeh with Swen incharge, both coaches are guilty of trying to ruin his career, in fact neither deserve such a talent.

He'd have been better off going to somewhere likes Portsmouth, at least H.Redknapp appreciates what a top player he is.

IF Jol is to leave, then i'd rather he take his little pet-dogs with him, Jenas & Keane - neither deserve guaranteed starts imo, but that's exactly what both do and will continue to have - regardles of form - while the Big Man's in charge

I like Jol, always have, but after saturdays tactical shambles, for me, the blame lies firmly with him (and the forever present regardless-of-who's-in-charge Hughton)

I personllay think that might just be the final nail in his coffin, as I don't see him being here for much longer now.

If any of the coaching staff are to leave, i would wish for it to be Hughton - like Jenas & Keane, he seems to be a permanent fixture at Spurs?

4.01- Jenas...agreed, Hughton..agreed Keano.....surely not?? not playing up to full standard but still well. When he's on form which is most of the season, he is a brilliant asset. Though I am bloody gutted about Jenas' new deal.

Waste of time game and who gives a shit that it is in Cyprus apart from people with oily skin

Well said anon above. Keane has got away with it for far too long. Why is that man vice captain of the club? He is slow, makes poor runs, bickers, gesticulates and blames others for his own misgivings. He is a poor finisher and can't head. He doesn' read the game very well. He is quite possibly the most overrated footballer in the Prem today. He started the big games that mattered last year and we lost them all. He is very, very average. But Andy Gray, BMJ and the rest of the media continue to big him up. I really don't get it. A bit of badge kissing and he reckons he owns the place. There's your problem. The BMJ Keane axis. "So can I schleep with your misschush again Robbie" "Ah, to be sure ye can big Mart". Get rid

No sorry keano is better than that look at last season. You are going to have us selling keane, berbatov will leave at christmas who will lead the line. Defoe and bent no sorry im not having that as a front two it would not work. They are to alike niether could lead you would need a top leader in midfield for it to have a chance and we don't have one that good.idiot

Is Koeman the man to take us forward not so sure on this one.Can he cut it in the prem its the hardest league in the world and we are the hardest club on managers.Who is the man to take over over from mj?

Jol should go, he has been blagging it for far too long. Such a good coach but still cannot sort out the defence or Robinson after a season.
Defoe is vastly overated. A selfish player who brings nothing to the team. Anyone who thinks Keane should go obviously know f*** all about football.
