As was exclusively reported in a previous THBN article, Tottenham Hotspur are about to sign Younes Kaboul.
The two clubs have now agreed to a transfer fee for the France under-21 International. The fee will remain "undisclosed", but is believed to be in the region of £6 million.
The same source that reported the deal to THBN has informed us that Martin Jol will not be spending any more money in the transfer market until the last two weeks of the transfer window (approximately 15th August 2007 - 31st August 2007).
We hope to bring you more news shortly.

Because 2 weeks ago, we said that he would sign once the fee had been arranged.

I cannot believe that. Managers want to be able to work with new players in pre-season and I would hope we buy who ever we want prior to that. As for no other signings until the last 2 weeks of August - can we agree that when it is proven that you are WRONG again that you will stop posting such garbage?
Kaboul and 2 other signings WILL be wrapped up as soon as the legalities are taken care of - one of those signings WILL be Darren Bent.
There are also negotiations going on with regards to players leaving but they are all fringe squad players and NO stars will be leaving and NONE have asked to leave.

I always thought Pekhart was a target -man type player, he's very tall I believe. Halfredsson can play there, and has done for the national team. Routledge and Ziegler too if needed. Plus with Bale bombing down we could even stick with Steed out on the left and let Bale go outside. Taraabt looks excellent aswell, but probably not a winger. I hope we get Petrov or Drenthe though

Defoe will go...he's a very good striker but who can he combine well with up front...not with Keane, not brilliantly with Berby.It's also the reason why he rarely starts for England, he's a bit of a maverick. Possibly Bent will fit in well with Robbie and Berby. If Bent has been promised a 1st team place could it be that Keane will drop back slightly and be our creative,attacking midfield brain.
