Glory, Glory Tottenham Hotspur!!

What is it about this great club that makes every single one of you love it so much? For me it’s everything about Tottenham that makes it so special. For me, as with a lot of you I have never known any other way. I was never given a choice because my father was a die hard Spurs fan ever since the day his parents took him to see his first game at the Lane in the early 60’s. Would I have supported them otherwise? Maybe, but more than likely I would have been swept along with all the children of my generation supporting Man U from afar, never venturing to the north of England to watch my so called heroes as is the case with the majority of their so called ‘FANS’.
Am I glad I was never given a choice… you bet your frigging life I am. Had it not of been for the influence of my dad, I would never have witnessed some of the most enthralling and memorable moments of my life, and some of the most painful too.
I am not a religious man by any means, but I do sometimes find myself praying in the hope that something good will happen once more to our mighty club and that we will once again be at the top of the English and European leagues.
The same goes for my beliefs, I stopped believing in Santa and the tooth-fairy long ago but one thing that has never stopped, and probably never will stop is my love for THFC and my belief that one day we will be back where we belong.
How many teams have a history as rich as ours? How many teams can boast being FA Cup winners on no less than 8 occasions or the first team to win ‘The Double’? How many teams can boast having some of the best players to have ever graced the game; Blanchflower, Mackay, Greaves, Hoddle, Gascoigne, Lineker, Klinsmann and Ginola? Not many, that’s for sure.
Our current board has done very well in putting this young, gifted team together in a relatively small amount of time. Yet they are constantly chastised by a small section of our fans and for what? Doing their best? Doing everything they can to bring the glory days back to the Lane?
How many of our current crop will go down in history and be mentioned alongside the players above? I think three of our players are already on their way. The three are King, Robinson and Defoe with potentially another on their way into the club in Edgar Davids. Routledge, Dawson and Ziegler all have the potential to do the same, but is Martin Jol the man that can make these players excel? I certainly think so, do you?
The future looks bright, the future looks lillywhite!!

the reason we love spurs so much is that we have ,what i like to call proper supporters , not the plastic type glory hunters that you get at teams like chelsea and man utd. we sell out week after week ,winning or losing, rain or shine.
HES GOT NO HAIR BUT WE DONT CARE
MARTIN ,MARTIN JOL.
Can see him coming back to England, but not to the mighty Spurs i'm afraid!?!?
They would have paid an initial fee of £6 million and then the balance with a loan at the end of the season.
They are in real financial trouble.
We are sure that they will have trouble in the up coming season. They still haven't replaced their keepers!
That can't be good.

so what is the news on Davids and VDM this morning?
THis is keeping me crazyly glued to the internet all the way from Singapore!!!
A long time reader of this site via NewsNow and this is my fist post and prob not my last.
i could go off on a tangent and give all the lemon about The sleeping giant waking up in the premiership or that Spurs have the best young and dynamic squad in the premiership............I am not going to though as spurs fans yourselves it just general knowledge that within the next few seasons we will become a top 5 elite team once again!!!!!!! We have all waited so, so, so long so a few more seasons aint gonna hurt a soul.
All that aside i have wrote this post for one reason!
TOTTENHAM DOES NOT WANT MICHEAL OWEN.
Why on earth would we want to sign this player? over-rated he is and i personally think our strike force is bang on! dont change a thing and for sure dont sign this no good stiker.
Never Red, rahter be dead.
No cunt will score !!!!!!!
answer not a hope in hell just because he's large doesn't mean he isn't fit look at our beloved teddy skillful as bollocks but slower than a car on the m25 in rush hour but could still run fast than any of us could so just lay off the lad
We lost the top two and Jol and Hughton have stepped up the ladder. The system worked well but now we have no DOR or backup for Jol or Hughton. Jol has said he's now happy with the squad at least for the time being so I think Levy is out scouting for Management not players. If you recall, Levy was on holiday when he sacked Hoddle after his six games because his time for work is close season when transfer deals are going down. If Arneson was worth the 8 million or so reported doesn't it make sense it will cost about the same (as a package) to replace him? PS My first Spurs game was away to Fulham I think in 1967.
Glory Glory

Carrick and Davids are of the same mould both defensive players !

By the way, are there any Arnesen chants ready for the chelsea matches??
COME ON YOU SPURS WE LOVEEEEE YOU
my excuses!!!!!!!
By the way, I think its so cool that spurs have foreign supporters. Are spurs your main team or just your favourite premiership team??
On another note, I'm convinced from the story about Davids at Reading today that the deal is done and dusted. It must be a double (or even triple) unveiling which is causing the delay.
I think that the delay for the Davids deal is because they will show off 2 more players and a dof allong side Davids. I think that we have that wotte as a new dof and he has put of Levy in buying avm and they are trying to get Castalan and Kuyt.
ill shut up.
kanoute - if kuyt comes
davis - quite far down the pecking order
mendes - same 4 him
jackson - championship is better for him
ifil - LOAN DO NOT GET RID
davenport - havnt seen much of him, dnt tink hes good enough
paramarot - do not rate him
1) For the stock market "Look we've acquired a nice piece of asset which will improve the price of the other assets we already have"
2) Double unveiling if we have another person (player/non-player) recruited as well
With Davids in the picture, we might see Carrick becoming his understudy and spending a lot more time on the bench.
So was it any coincidence that Defoe scored only 2 goals in the second half of last season? He was tackled/body checked as soon as he got the ball.
We do need to clear out some of the dross to give us a more tidy and compact squad. The likes of Jackson, Bunje and all the other clowns need to go !. THBN what is the current situation with VDM ? do you think there is some connection with the Davids delay and his potential arrival ??
From Inter's official site:
With regard to an article in today's Mail on Sunday that includes sentences about Roberto Mancini, FC Internazionale categorically denies what was written. Roberto Mancini did not make such declarations about Edgar Davids, and the club confirms that the coach was not interviewed by the journalist who wrote the article, nor by the newspaper named above.

You signing tomorrow?
ha ha ha
Cant believe its just you and me in here ?
Where the F... is everyone ?
So what do you think - Van Der meyde possibility or what ?
Heard Gab Marcotti on talkarse rating van der meyde.
Who Knows - He also said that if Davids head is right we have got THE best midefielder in prem outside of gerrard.
If hes right he will improve all around him by 50pcent.
Hed do well there -
God remember Jose Dominguez - had to be the worlds smallest player.
Pocket sized or what.I swear if he was on the left wing and someone sneezed in the west stand hed fall over.Gow weve had some classics - Ruel "de" Fox
Works his nuts off.WHY is Bunjecivic still there,Whata legacy from the hoddle days - What a waste of a salary
RE west stand - well some of em are real - Some just moan non stop,
You wonder at times why they bother, there wives must be right nags
Thats more than our whole midfield scored last yr isnt it.In fact did ANY midfielder score in the prem apart from mendes at OT ???
Can we play em every week ?
Going to Park Lane for Porto - last time I was down there I was standing!
Doesnt help that keane and defoe are small - its a shame.
Mido looks fit now - kanoute not a fan hes too in and out,Can see keane going which is a shame as he works hard - unless we can find a way to play all three which with all the mfielders we now have i cant see
reminds me of young morientes and hes 6ft plus.
Its a shame
And fuck knows kanoute could do with one at times.
Wonder if Keane has "hamstring" trouble for that game
Cant wait
Big day tmrw - cant wait.
See you all tmrw
With Big MJ at the helm and DL doing the business, the futures looking bright....the futures Spurs!

Johnson, Palace boss Iain Dowie and club chairman Simon Jordan will all be present and fans will no doubt hope that the striker has decided to stay.
Everton failed with a £6m bid for the 24-year-old England international at the end of June.
Johnson handed in a transfer request earlier in the summer but Palace have maintained that he will not be sold.
Tottenham and West Brom were also linked with the frontman but nothing came of their reported interest.
Johnson had asked for a move to boost his chances of making the England squad if the national side qualifies for the 2006 World Cup.
He scored 21 Premiership goals last season but could not stop the Eagles from being relegated to the Championship.
