Keane Wants Out

Friends close to Spurs striker Robbie Keane have said that he definitely wants to quit the London club and play for Newcastle.

It has been reported that Keane asked his Irish team mates, Shay Given and ex-Spur Stephen Carr what it is like playing for Newcastle earlier this summer when the Irish squad met up for international duty.

After many lengthy informal chats with his international teammates, it has been said that Robbie Keane has now set it in his heart to play for Newcastle United.

With Newcastle in the hunt for a new striker, 24-year old Keane would fit the bill. Spurs will ask around £6 million for Ireland's top goal scorer.

  1. I think that a swap deal of Robbie plus cash for Jenas would be great for us. Like Simon Davies, I think that whilst both players will probably go on to very well at new clubs, we have probably seen their best at Spurs!
